Waseela that is it allowed

In a program on PTV, Professor Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman Sahab and a deobandi scholar Maulvi Ahtram ul Haq Thanvi were called. During the program, a question was asked on a phone call about Waseela that is it allowed to ask via Waseela? Maulana Mufti Muneeb Ur Rehman replied with quoting a Hadis that it is allowed.
